Dear Residents:
The Board of Directors for Clear Brook City MUD (the District) has not raised rates for services for five years. Our last rate increase was in December 2016. During that five-year period, the District absorbed the cost of additional services provided to residents. These services include charges from the City of Houston for water and sewer services along with necessary upgrades to the Southeast Water Plant. Additional increases for trash col-lection, fire protection and police protection have also been implemented.
The District strives to keep costs down while providing excellent services to its residents, but an increase is now necessary. On February 20, 2021, the minimum rate for water and sewer service increased to $76.09 with 6,000 gallons of water usage or less. The first bill for the increased rates will be due and payable by April 25, 2021. Attached is a breakdown of how the increase will be applied:
